A very popular misconception exists today; that "going green", the whole sustainability movement, is costly. It's not. It should SAVE us money. We just need to shift our attitudes a little and stop thinking of sustainability measures as expenses or costs and to see them for what they really are...investments and opportunities. And, at the risk of appearing preachy, we needed to start doing this yesterday.
Another misconception is that going green is optional. It's another barrier that needs to be broken down. Education will continue to play a critical role as we make this progress. |
